Reminder: Call for Session Proposals, 2019 ATALM

Over the past 12 years, the Association of Tribal Archives, Libraries, and Museums has helped indigenous communities reclaim, revitalize, and advance cultural heritage. While great advances have been made, we are facing increasing challenges to our identities, values, and lifeways. For this reason, we have selected "Navigating Cultural Survival in the 21st Century" as the theme for ATALM2019.

In addition to sessions and workshops designed to help build the professional capacity of staff and volunteers, we are seeking sessions that help expand the use of Native languages, as well as sessions that help engage tribal leadership in supporting and strengthening cultural initiatives.

We also have made the unprecedented decision to extend the deadline for submitting session proposals. To accommodate those impacted by the federal government shutdown, Tuesday, February 5 is the new deadline. After February 5, submissions will be considered on a space-available basis.
